  2. Take a look at Theta. This was put on my radar by jsnip4. It's been moving up the ranks. It's a token for End-to-end decentralized video delivery. They are about to have a Mainnet launch March 15. For every ERC20 Theta Token you hold at the time of the snapshot, you will receive 1:1 native Theta Tokens on the new blockchain. In addition, you’ll receive Theta Fuel, the operational or ‘gas’ token of the Theta blockchain — 5 Theta Fuel for every Theta Token you hold. Holders would have had to have their ERC20 Theta tokens in a supported Exchange/wallet for the exchange by March 12.

  6. So I think what will happen in several years or sooner is that banks will offer wallets to individual customers and allow for otc purchases. This will open up the market to billions and potentially stabilise the prices. What do you think?

This is great news for doing taxes. there is no potential for a future 'wash sale rule' unless it is considered an investment. if you are filing taxes, this simplifies things because it means you simply subtract all your losses from all your gains, like any other business. if you trade ethereum, it means you are in the business of selling digital contracts, not an investor. Taxes on sale of ethereum becomes the same as stuff sold on ebay or anything else that has a supply cost. You purchase a contract as a supply and sell it for profit. This is taxed very differently from buying an instrument of investment.

  26. I think about how big ETH is and how it will be around still in 5-10 years (no brainier) , plus most of the big institutions Who will adopt BTC will most definitely see eth as the next option , this price right now is a total steal and I believe will give you more x than BTC

  37. Yep. ETH passes the "howey test", which is what they are using going forward for ICOs.

    So at least there's some clarification from them in that area too.
